Vocodine by Blezz Beats is a hybrid vocoder that bridges classic talk box character with modern processing. The physical talk box — a synth fed through a plastic tube into your mouth, shaped by your voice and captured by a microphone — is one of the most expressive sounds in music, and one of the hardest to set up. Vocodine recreates that experience in real time inside your DAW: no tube, no hose, no extra hardware. It has the synth, it has the finesse, everything is tuned up for you. All it needs is your voice and your vibe.

To get the sound right, Vocodine was built on three key techniques: consonant isolation, so your words stay intelligible; a physical model of the plastic tube, for that unmistakable resonant character; and impulse actuation, for a response that feels alive under your fingers.

Built-In Synth Engine

There is no three-plugin routing chain to build. Vocodine’s built-in synth engine is perfectly tuned for talk box action the moment you insert it — and if you prefer your own sound source, you can route an external carrier in instead. Place Vocodine on an audio track, feed it MIDI from a keyboard (or a pre-recorded MIDI clip), and play your voice like an instrument.

Play it in mono mode for the fine-tuned style of a real voice box, or switch to poly mode for layered vocoder harmonies and robotic choirs.

Don’t play keys? Set Vocodine to AUTO, choose a scale, and it detects and generates the pitch automatically — hands-free talk box and vocoder lines from your raw vocal. Version 1.2.1 adds last-note legato, improved pitch tracking, presets and scale presets, configurable pitch-mod speed and UAD Luna support, on top of free updates for all owners and activation on up to 5 computers.
