PSPaudioware Lexicon PSP 42 – The Legendary PCM 42 Delay, Reborn
PSPaudioware Lexicon PSP 42 is a high-quality digital stereo delay and phrase sampler plug-in based on the legendary Lexicon PCM 42 — the processor whose distinctive sound and unique concept made it a studio staple. From tempo-locked feedback delays with tape saturation to flanging, phasing, and doubling, PSP 42 covers the full spectrum of delay-based effects.
Under the hood: up to 9600 ms of delay time with continuous control, tight host-tempo synchronization, tape saturation emulation built on PSP’s mastering-grade algorithms, analog limiter and A/D–D/A converter emulation with four limiter/saturation modes, and a low-pass filter modeling high-frequency absorption. The flexible modulation section blends sine, square, and envelope-detector sources in any proportion, with an LFO that runs free or tempo-synced.
A phrase sampler, four forward/backward direction modes, sidechain input for the envelope detector, and click-free parameter crossfades make PSP 42 an instrument in its own right — perfect for vocals, guitars, drum loops, and otherworldly sound design. Ships with an extensive preset library; runs VST, VST3, AU, AAX on Mac & Windows.
