Ample Sound sampled the guitar at every string and fret position across four libraries (Neck, Bridge, Both and Fingerstyle), 11 GB of samples in total, so Ample Guitar LP 4.1 responds the way the real instrument does: where you play a note on the neck changes how it sounds, because the library knows the difference.

Ten Articulations and Real Performance Detail

The articulation set covers the full electric guitar vocabulary: Sustain, Palm Mute, Natural Harmonic, Hammer On & Pull Off, Legato Slide, Slide In, Slide Out, Pop, Pinch Harmonic and Slide Guitar. Polyphonic legato with the Slide Smoother makes legato lines sing across any interval and speed, drop tuning goes down to D1 for modern low work, and authentic left-hand performance noises are baked in — the squeaks and shifts that separate a believable guitar track from a keyboard impression.

Riffer 4: Write Guitar Parts Like a Guitarist

Ample Guitar LP 4.1 ships with Riffer 4, a MIDI editor built specifically for plucked string instruments. Its Strum Note system treats every sub-note of a chord as one editable object, so strum time, velocity gradient and legato stay unified while you edit. You can switch in real time between Piano Roll and Guitar Tab views — a first of its kind — and the String Visualisation system shows strings inside the piano roll, automatically preventing impossible polyphony on one string and assigning intelligent fingering. Add the new multi-lane MIDI CC and velocity editors, one-click CC curve presets and hundreds of new riffs, and parts written in Riffer sound like performances, not programming.

Strummer and Tab Reader 4

The Strummer detects chords in two modes (or define any custom chord), and Strum SEQ plays any rhythm at any speed, with an extensive rhythm library and MIDI drag-and-drop into your DAW. Tab Reader 4 imports Guitar Pro files from GP3 through Guitar Pro 8 — and can bring entire guitar tracks into Riffer with fingering, articulations and performance data intact, so a tab becomes an editable, playable performance in seconds.

The built-in amp simulator pairs 7 classic amp heads (Metal Double, Metal Treble, Lead 800, Jazz 120, 65 Twang, 65 Delight, 57 Delight) with 8 guitar cabinets, each captured with 8 microphones. The FX rack adds an 8-band EQ, compressor, delay and convolution reverb — enough to go from raw library to finished guitar tone without leaving the plugin.
