Bassmaker by In The Mix is a next-generation sub synthesis plugin that automatically creates deep, powerful bass for any track that needs support. Instead of layering samples or fighting with EQ, Bassmaker analyses your audio and generates a clean fundamental bass layer underneath it — bass you can feel as well as hear. It supports weak low-end, and it can generate bass even for sounds that have almost none to begin with: kicks, bass guitars, 808s, synths, guitars, even vocals.

The generated bass is always in tune. Bassmaker locks to a Note, to a fixed Frequency, or uses custom Pitch-Tracking of the incoming signal, so the reinforcement follows your music instead of fighting it.

Two Sub Engines: SUB 1 and SUB 2

At the heart of Bassmaker are two independent sub generators. Dial in a precise low fundamental with one engine and a broader, higher sub layer with the other, each with its own gain, attack and decay behaviour. Adjustable attack and release follow the input signal for maximum control, and a precision focus range lets you target exactly the section of the incoming signal that should drive the generation.

Pitch-tracked sub reinforcement targets a range you define and creates a solid, pitch-following sub or bass signal. Lower-octave support works on any source — vocals, basses, guitars and synths all gain a controlled octave-down foundation without muddying the original sound.

TONE and STABILISE

Generated bass is only half the story. The TONE section adds character with tube and tape modelled saturation, helping the sub cut through and increasing bass presence on smaller speakers — deep bass that is heard on all devices, not just big monitors. STABILISE is a smart low-end spectral compressor that steadies unsteady, weak bass in both the incoming signal and the generated layer, so your low end stays strong and consistent from note to note.

Customisable smoothing, detection and quality modes adapt the processing to any signal or genre, from subtle reinforcement to full bass replacement.
