PSP Audioware PSP BBDelay (Mac & Windows)

PSP BBDelay — Vintage Bucket Brigade Delay, Reborn

PSP BBDelay is PSPaudioware’s love letter to the legendary 1980s Dynacord VRS 23 — the BBD delay/ambience processor whose warm, wobbling repeats defined a decade of records. Built around faithfully modeled Bucket Brigade Device chips with authentic compander behavior, BBDelay delivers the organic movement, musical imperfections, and beautiful instability that made classic analog delays so inspiring — with all the precision and convenience of a modern plugin.

Four Modes of Character

• Mono, Dual Mono, and Ping-Pong delay modes, plus a Reverb mode that conjures the strange, characterful ambience of the original “virtual reverberation system”
• Delay times up to 800 ms (1600 ms in x2 mode) with smooth analog-style speed control
• Time and Tempo Sync modes plus tap tempo

Key Features

• Individually modeled BBD chips with adjustable compander alignment — from clean repeats to beautifully imperfect vintage coloration
• Four modulation waveforms (sine, triangle, square, random) with multiple sync options
• Adjustable BBD chip spread for stereo widening and chip variation for unique analog-like behavior per instance
• Three analog Dirt modes with progressively richer circuit character, plus analog-style saturation with multiple response curves
• Built-in transient processor — shape the attack of every repeat without touching the dry signal
• Built-in ducker for cleaner delays during performance, and an integrated gate for rhythmic effects
• Feedback-path tone shaping: high-pass, low-pass, and resonant filters inside the feedback loop
• Preset browser with Favorites, A/B comparison, Undo/Redo; 64-bit processing; zero added latency on the dry signal; scalable GUI
• Windows 7–11 (VST2/VST3/AAX 64-bit); macOS 10.14–26, Intel + Apple Silicon (AU/VST/VST3/AAX)
• iLok authorization — free iLok account, no hardware dongle required, 3 activations
