Algonaut Atlas 2.5 is the AI drum sample organizer that turns your chaos of one-shots into a playable map — then plays them like a drum machine. €99 → €49.99.
Your Samples Are Scattered. Atlas Draws the Map.
Every producer has the same problem: thousands of drum samples buried in folders named “new kits (final)” and “SAMPLES 2024 old”, and you can never find the right kick when you need it. Scrolling through endless lists kills momentum.
Algonaut Atlas 2.5 solves it with something no file browser can do. Point it at your sample folders and its AI listens to every file — analyzing the actual sound — then arranges them on a 2D map clustered by timbre and type. Kicks gather in one region, snares in another, hats shimmer off to the side. Similar-sounding samples sit next to each other, so you can drag your cursor across the map and audition a dozen variations of the perfect snare in seconds. It is like scrolling a world map instead of an Excel sheet.
Instant Organization for Any Library
Atlas accepts WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, MP3, and WMA files, and it auto-categorizes messy folders the moment you load them. No tagging, no renaming, no weekend-long library cleanup projects. The analysis is fast, and once it is done, your entire collection — whether it is 500 samples or 50,000 — is searchable by sound, not by filename.
And it learns your taste. Hit Like on a sample and Atlas remembers what you liked about it, feeding better recommendations. Dislike something and it steers away. Over time the map starts to feel like it was curated by an assistant who has watched you work for years.
One-Click Kits, Then Make Them Yours
The “New Kit” button is where Atlas stops being a librarian and starts being an instrument. One click and it builds a complete drum kit from your own library — kick, snare, hats, percussion — matched to work together. Do not like the snare? Drag the kit’s snare slot to a different corner of the map and swap it instantly.
Every pad has a full sample editor underneath: gain, filter, pitch, pan, envelopes, reverse, and phase flip. These are not afterthoughts — the editor is deep enough to reshape a sample into something unrecognizable, and light enough that you will use it constantly. The filter and pitch controls alone make Atlas worth keeping open during every session.
A Sequencer Built for Grooves, Not Grids
Atlas 2.5 includes a step sequencer that runs up to 32 steps with triplet support and true polyrhythms — different pads can run different pattern lengths, so a 4-step hat can cycle against a 32-step kick pattern and the groove never resolves into boredom. Patterns can be randomized for inspiration, then edited precisely once you hear something worth keeping.
The variation engine keeps programmed beats human. Velocity, timing, and sample variation drift naturally so a looped pattern breathes instead of machine-gunning. And with MIDI import/export plus MIDI out, Atlas can sequence your hardware drum machines or trigger other plugins in your session — it is a sequencing hub, not a closed box.
What’s Included
Atlas 2.5 ships with 1,500 drum samples as an optional download, complete with pre-built maps and ready-to-go sequences. If your own library is already huge, you can skip the download and go straight to analyzing your folders. Either way you are making beats in minutes, not hours.
