Yamaha Omnivocal Pro — AI Vocal Synthesis, Built Into Cubase 16

Important: Omnivocal Pro is a VST3 instrument plugin that runs exclusively inside Steinberg Cubase 16 (all editions). It does not work in other DAWs and there is no standalone app. You need Cubase 16 to use it.

Omnivocal Pro is Yamaha’s brand-new AI vocal synthesis instrument, powered by the next-generation NX engine. Load it on an instrument track in Cubase 16, enter a MIDI melody, type your lyrics directly in the Key Editor — and Omnivocal sings them back as a natural, human-sounding vocal performance. No singer, no separate editor, no cloud processing: everything runs locally on your computer.

What’s Included in Pro

• 10 unique voicebanks — each with its own character and tone (the free Basic edition includes only 2).
• Vocal Stack — layer up to 8 unison voices for rich doubles and choruses.
• Manual Vibrato plus Attack, Air and Formant parameters for detailed vocal shaping.
• Lyrics in the Key Editor — type lyrics note-by-note with pronunciation and language controls, right inside Cubase.
• Expression controls — Power, Vibrato, Presence and Output, all automatable.
• Local processing — no cloud, no uploads. All voicebanks may be used freely, including in commercial music, with no permission or credit required.

How It Works

Buying a Pro license automatically upgrades the Omnivocal plug-in already installed with Cubase 16 to Pro — no separate installer. Activate with your Steinberg ID through the Activation Manager. No USB dongle required.

System Requirements

• Host: Steinberg Cubase 16 (all editions) — required. VST3 instrument only (no AU, AAX or standalone).
• Mac: macOS 15 Sequoia, 26 Tahoe or 27 Golden Gate; Intel Core i5 (8th gen+) or Apple Silicon.
• Windows: 64-bit Windows 10 / 11; Intel Core i5 (8th gen+) or equivalent AMD. Windows on Arm not supported.
• RAM: 8 GB or more. Storage: 1 GB+ including all voicebanks. Display 1440×900 or higher.

Every customer receives their own individual license key.
